what can you do with a melon

Hey there actually is a special day for watermelon in Taiwan. lol...its cool. I just found out about it the other day. OK...here is a few pictures from the 2006 Melon Day in Taiwan.

Melon Day is the day where a collection of melon art is displayed. Pictures and words are engraved/carved onto surface of the melon. The 1st thing that captures your attention when you 1st walk into the hall will be this cute little heart shaped melon with the letter 'love' on it. I think the melon are actually grown in a heart shaped container to make it that way.

When it comes to carving, there will always be a pig in it. People just love to carve pig. Ah watever...there you go...pig in a melon.

Here's a few melon trying to be cute with its carving. I have been wondering, what happens to the melon next? Chop it open and serve it to your friends? after all that hard work on the melon? or you just keep it on display till it rot?

Nice art...imagine how long this will take...rose on a melon. Could it be...its done by a machine?

The first cubic melon is founded in Japan. Farmers of the Zentsuji region found a way to grow cubic watermelons, by growing the fruits in glass boxes and letting them naturally assume the shape of the receptacle. The square shape supposedly makes the melons easier to stack and store, but the square watermelons are often more than double the price of normal ones. Pyramid shaped watermelons have also been developed.

That's WHY! the whole tree is covered with freaking maggots. Its kinda like there are millions of them.

The freaking maggots doesnt just like trees, they like bikes too. See the bike below covered with webbing. Its like the art of Spiderman but instead this is done by tonnes of maggots.

Wait a minute...i see something weird with the bike. See that? lets take a closer look...

Had enough of maggots already? ok...lets take a walk and get some fresh air in your lungs. How long have you stopped breathing? Take a deep breath... Lets go to the corner there...

Hmmm...its a bit dirty at the corner there... What did all those cleaners do all day over here? Lets have a sit anyway...a little bit of dirt wont kill...

OMFG...The Return of The Maggots. No matter where you go...it keeps coming back. There will be no place to hide... The next thing you know, maggots under the bed, maggots in the toilet, on the table, in the pillow, in the...

Maggots will haunt you forever. No where is safe for you now.

Maggots...Maggots...Everywhere...Arrggghhh...

A new service that offers television via an Internet connection has been switched on.

Subscribers will be able to watch programmes from Indonesia and China, as well as local channels.

Viewers will need to log onto the worldip.tv website with a broadband-enabled personal computer or a 3G (third-generation) cellphone in order to get the live streaming and video-on-demand programmes.

The IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) service is being offered by Broadway Digital Media (BDM) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of music company Broadway Entertainment (M) Sdn Bhd.

Local channels available are TV3, ntv7, 8TV and TV9 while the foreign channels are Indonesia’s Metro TV and China’s Dragon TV.

The service is free until June, after which BDM would charge local customers RM10 a month while overseas subscribers will have to pay US$5 (RM17), BDM chairman Aziz Bakar said.

Half Pipe is a steel roller coaster located at Elitch Gardens (Amusement Park) in Denver, Colorado. I wonder if we could get this in Genting Highland one day. I bet Uncle Lim (Lim Goh Tong) wouldnt mind installing a small amusement roller coaster for everyone to enjoy.

This roller coaster takes advantage of Denver’s proximity to nearby ski resorts that cater to snowboarders. Riders are placed in one of two cars on the train which is made to resemble a giant snowboard. Each car is a free-spinning circle that holds eight people.
